If you want to be a part of the conversation everyone is having, give it a shot and test it for yourself.
Advice from Copilot about Copilot
Start small. Don't try to do too much with Copilot in the classroom right away. Focus on one or two activities that you know will engage your students before expanding to more complex activities.
Be organized. Have a plan for the activities and assignments you will use Copilot for, and be sure to explain them to your students. Make sure that expectations are clearly communicated.
Model appropriate behavior. Show your students how to use Copilot appropriately and in line with the classroom expectations. Demonstrate the kind of behavior that you are looking for from your students.
Make it engaging. Use Copilot to create activities that are interesting and meaningful to your students. Try to make it fun and interactive so that students will engage with the material.
Set up checkpoints. Create checkpoints throughout the task so that students can receive feedback and adjust their work accordingly. This helps keep them engaged and on task while also giving you a way to assess their progress.
Celebrate successes. Give positive reinforcement when your students use Copilot successfully. Celebrate their successes and encourage them to continue using it.

The best teaching and learning techniques take time to prepare. AI can never replicate the complex and reflexive actions of a teacher. It can, however, cut down on the time it takes to make materials and free up the teacher to spend more time doing the things it cannot do.
For now, AI cannot create and sustain relationships and emotional connection in the way that teachers do everyday. Many teachers and students alike will argue that these relationships are what make school meaningful. We are at a unique point in history where we are finally freed up to invest more time and energy into what counts.
